Peterborough Festival of Antiques returns to East of England Arena in 4-year deal.
The East of England Arena and Events Centre has announced the return of the Peterborough Festival of Antiques to the venue in an unprecedented eight show, four-year deal that began with the first show of the year on March 30-31, 2018. Festival Of Antiques, the organiser of the biannual Peterborough Festival of Antiques, has chosen to commit to a four year agreement because, as MD Simon Evans explained, "Some of our exhibitors were concerned that the future of the festival could be in doubt, and we wanted to reassure exhibitors and visitors alike that we are here to stay at East of England Arena. The venue has accommodated us through 19 years of growth, and its contribution is an important part of our success." The Peterborough Festival of Antiques features a mixture of individual exhibitors and antiques dealers arriving from all over the country, the continent and even from as far afield as the USA, Japan and Australia, for the two-day festival. Recognised internationally as a flagship event, the Peterborough Festival of Antiques includes a marquee village of antiques dealers in their own outdoor premises, and the 9600m² indoor event space filled to capacity with individual vendors. Dean Rees, East of England Arena's business development manager, was pleased to welcome the festival back for its 19th year, commenting, "We love having the Festival here at the arena, and we've worked closely with Festival of Antiques to make every year an improvement on the last. "Festival of Antiques' commitment to a four-year agreement feels like a real vote of confidence in the venue, and will give us all more flexibility and latitude to consider new possibilities for enhancing what is already a key show in the antiques business calendar," concluded Rees.
