Peterborough Festival of Antiques records best ever year.

The Peterborough Festival of Antiques, which took place over the Easter weekend, 19-20 April,  at East of England Arena and Events Centre has reported a record breaking year, with more visitors, sellers and exhibitors than ever, filling the 9600m2 Arena, the adjoining buildings and the marquee village.

Simon Evans, director of the Peterborough Festival of Antiques, explained why the event returns to the East of England Arena and Events Centre every year, saying “Since 1999 we’ve been constantly expanding and enlarging the event, and the East of England Arena’s wide variety of indoor and outdoor space has been able to consistently accommodate our growing needs. It’s proximity to major roads, airports and rail links, not to mention its accessibility from the continent, has definitely contributed to the continued success of the Festival.”

Dean Rees, East of England Arena's business development manager, welcomed the Antiques Festival's success too, saying, "We love having the Festival here at the arena, and every year it comes back bigger and better. Despite this year's record breaking attendance, our venue still offers plenty of scope for the Festival to expand even further."
