Europe’s largest truck festival returns to East of England Arena

Truckfest, Europe’s largest truck festival, is returning to the East of England Arena and Events Centre (EEAEC) for its 37th consecutive year on May 9 - 10, 2020. The festival, a firm favourite on the trucking and haulage calendar, is a focal point of interest for everyone with an interest in heavy goods vehicles, from owner-drivers to international haulage companies.

Major industry brands like Mercedes Benz, Scania, DAF, Volvo and Renault come to Truckfest to display their newest vehicles, engage with their target market, and raise their public profile at the exhibition, whilst trucking enthusiasts and their families enjoy a weekend of truck-related entertainment and events.

The event also includes Concours competitions and more than 2500 unique show trucks displayed across the 250-acre site. The show attracts a sizeable public audience so there’s a generous variety of family-friendly activities, from children’s funfair rides to dancing digger displays. The festival theme continues with a full schedule of live and musical entertainment in the evening for the many visitors that will be camping on-site.

But the focus is always on the trucks, as Colin Ward, creator and organiser of Truckfest explained, “Visitors to Truckfest are not just operators, drivers and fleet managers, or even truckers and their families, but also the general public who see and enjoy Truckfest as the great spring day out.”

Jason Lunn, venue director, EEAEC, welcomed the show back to the Arena, saying, “It’s always a pleasure to welcome Truckfest back to our venue. It’s an outstanding event with a long history and a real festival atmosphere, we’re all looking forward to making it another memorable year.”
