The East of England Arena and Events Centre has had confirmation that the Peterborough Festival of Antiques, April 14-15, 2017, is now the largest edition of the event recorded to date, and amongst the largest of all European antiques fairs.

The fair, which has been returning to the East of England Arena twice a year since 1999, features a mixture of individual exhibitors and antiques dealers arriving from all over the country and from the continent for the two-day event. Recognised internationally as a key event on the antiques calendar, the Peterborough Festival of Antiques recorded over 2000 individual exhibitors, including over 40 antiques dealers in their own outdoor marquees, and the 9600m² indoor event space filled absolutely to capacity with individual vendors.

Simon Evans, director of the Peterborough Festival of Antiques, explained why the event returns to the East of England Arena and Events Centre every year, saying “Since 1999 we’ve been constantly expanding and enlarging the event, and the East of England Arena’s wide variety of indoor and outdoor space has been able to consistently accommodate our growing needs. It’s proximity to major roads, airports and rail links, not to mention its accessibility from the continent, has definitely contributed to the continued success of the Festival.”

“Following the Arena’s recent refurbishments,” continued Simon Evans, “the choice and quality of indoor event space is better than ever, whilst the enormous outdoor area means we can welcome dealers wishing to stay on site in motorhomes and caravans, and offer essentially limitless free parking and outdoor stalls.  There simply isn’t another venue that offers these facilities.”
